About Us

Pilates Instructor

Born in Guernsey, I left the island in 1989 to undertake professional dance training, initially with ‘Bodywork Dance Company’ before moving to ‘The London Studio Centre’. It was here that my Pilates experience began, working in the equipment studio as part of my classical ballet training.

I qualified as a matwork teacher with The Body Control Pilates Association in 2007 and then went on to formally train on the Reformer and Cadillac with Gordon Thompson at Pilates Body Europe.

I truly love teaching Pilates and passing on this wonderful technique to others.

Chiropractor & Mindfulness Trainer

Chris was born and schooled in Guernsey. He graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1996 with a BSc and then went on to work as an associate in 2 busy clinics in Worthing and Hove. During this period he completed a further one year postgraduate diploma in Chiropractic (DC).

During the 6 years Chris was in East Sussex he became very interested in meditation and began practicing regularly. In early 2001 Chris became interested in the work of an organisation called the ‘Mind and Life Institute’. A collaboration between Eastern contemplative practitioners and Western brain scientists. This sparked Chris’s interest in psychology and mindfulness based approaches.

On his return to Guernsey in 2002,determined to learn more, he enrolled on an Open University degree course and in 2011 gained a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology. He then has gone on to enrol on an MSc in Mindfulness based approaches at Bangor university and is currently in his second year. This extensive in depth course explores the origins and foundations of mindfulness, as well as training the individual to teach both MBSR(mindfulness based stress reduction) & MBCT(mindfulness based cognitive therapy) courses. He has most recently completed a mindfulness based stress reduction teacher training retreat and has also completed the .b training allowing him to teach mindfulness in schools to 11-18 year olds.

In January 2014 he will be teaching a paws b programme to year 5 students at St Martins school. This programme, specifically designed for 7-11 year by Sarah Silverton, is still in it’s infancy and has only been taught in 1 other school to date. So to be allowed the opportunity to teach this at this early stage is most certainly a rare opportunity for both Chris and St.Martins school.
